What is sexy-hentai.net?
An English-language guide to AI anime and hentai-style art: how image generators work, how to write prompts, design characters and use lighting, and how to do all of it safely and legally. From 2007 to 2024 the domain was a hentai video site; it relaunched in 2026 as a reading site with no hosted videos or images. See about this site.

What does “hentai” actually mean?
In English it means sexually explicit anime and manga. In Japanese the word means “transformation” or, colloquially, “pervert”, and the industry usually uses other labels. Our guide on what hentai is covers the history.
Is AI hentai art legal?
Creating and viewing adult anime-style art of clearly adult, fictional characters is legal for adults in many countries, though local rules on obscenity, distribution and age verification vary. Two things are illegal in many places regardless of whether the image is drawn or AI-generated: sexualised depictions of minors, and sexual images of real people made or shared without consent. Can I make images of a real person, a celebrity or someone I know?
No. Sexual images of real people without their consent cause real harm and are criminal offences in a growing number of countries, including under the UK Online Safety Act and the US TAKE IT DOWN Act. Why do you insist on clearly adult characters?
Because sexualised depictions of minors are harmful and illegal in many countries even when drawn or AI-generated, including the UK, Canada and Australia, and US federal law covers obscene drawn depictions. A stated age does not override a childlike appearance. Every character in adult art must look and read as an adult. See safety and age rules.
Why don’t you use famous anime characters in examples?
Copyrighted characters belong to their creators, and using them causes legal and platform problems. Original characters are also better creatively: you control every detail and can keep them consistent.
What is the best free option?
Running Stable Diffusion-family models locally with ComfyUI or Forge costs nothing per image and keeps everything on your machine, but it needs a capable graphics card and some patience. Many hosted services also have limited free tiers. See choosing a generator.
What do I need to run it locally?
A recent graphics card with plenty of video memory (NVIDIA cards are the easiest to set up), enough disk space for multi-gigabyte model files, and time to learn the interface. Download models only from reputable sources.
How do I keep the same character across many images?
Write a fixed character description and reuse it word for word, give the character two or three signature features, control seeds, use reference images of your own earlier generations, and for long projects train a small LoRA on your original character. Why are the hands always wrong?
Hands have many small parts in countless positions, and they occupy only a few pixels in most images, so models struggle with them. Fix them with inpainting at full resolution, or choose poses where hands are simple or partly hidden.
What is a LoRA, a checkpoint and a seed?
A checkpoint is the main AI model and sets the overall style. A LoRA is a small add-on that nudges it towards a specific style or character. A seed is the number that sets the starting random noise, so the same seed and settings reproduce an image. The glossary explains more terms.
Will people know what I generated?
On a hosted service, the company can see your prompts and images, so read its privacy policy and check whether galleries are public. Locally, files stay on your machine, but PNG files often contain your full prompt in their metadata, so strip it before sharing.
What will show up on my card statement?
That depends on the service’s billing descriptor, which may be its own name, a parent company or a neutral name. Check its FAQ or ask support before paying.
Do you host or link to adult videos or scanned manga?
No. We host no explicit media and do not link to sites that distribute pirated manga, doujinshi or anime. Support artists by buying from legitimate publishers.
I found a mistake in a guide. What should I do?
Tell us. Laws and tools change quickly, and each guide shows its last-updated date. Accuracy matters more to us than anything else on this site.
